Pair of very decent keepers. It's the two CM in front of them that need sorting!

Those people have no idea what they are talking about. A keeper is only has good as their defence the majority of the time and this is a perfect example. Keepers are fine, the defence needs sorting.

need a new one, is that a joke

not often you get an international, and a man united youngster with great potential, at this level.

i think there both good at this level, maybe feel slightly safer with heaton in goal.

I'm happy with both. I'd say they are in the top 5 keepers in the league

I am happy with our keepers. We need two new Centre halfs and a new manager and we will be fine :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Wouldnt go that far.... Westwood, Camp, Speroni, Devries, Lonergan,Kenny ..... David James

They are both pretty decent though.

Best pair we've had for a long time.

Personally, I think they're much alike and each seems to let at least one goal a game in....but don't see the need to recruit

I put a lot of the goals this season down to dodgy defending and think both keepers have shown some good form when in the team....

It would help if the two keepers had a confidence-inspiring back four in front of them!!

So it's a NO from me....our keepers are OK

I agree, but you missed out Schmeichel and of our 2 goalies, Heaton is by far the best! :ayatollah:

I'd be happy with him not being so vocal, if he didn't need a Satnav to come off his line!

Oh and he's shit at crosses! ;) :ayatollah:

Not happy with either of them !!!

What rubbish about centre backs, they both need each other, a goalkeeper needs strong centre backs and a centre back needs a strong keeper, we have neither !

Heaton or Marshall cannot command their box, Heaton is dodgy on long shots and Marshall can't catch a cold !

Did Marshall and his dodgy decisions cost us the play off final ?

Schmiecel was also dodgy on crosses !

If you are on about the best keeper we've had since the early 80's, what about Ron Healey (70's too) and especially Andy Dibble ?

They are both good keepers and the best we've had for a long time. I think Heaton will get better and better the more games he plays. Marshall is a good shot stopper but not commanding enough in he air. There are some games when you think OMG here we go again every time the other side gets a corner, surely he can be trained to improve on that??

Very happy with both, wouldnt be looking for a keeper at all.

Re: " MARSHALL and HEATON "

Wow now the keepers are getting the blame. Everybody needs to be less negative about every single aspect of the team. Heaton has been class this season, what do fans expect? Van der Sar?

Re: " MARSHALL and HEATON "

Mon Dec 20, 2010 9:15 pm

I am very happy with our keepers. Marshall is a very good shot stopper and has very good reflexes. Heaton again a very good keeper. Both need to be a bit more commanding though but im very happy with our keepers. :ayatollah:

2 best keepers in the Championship but they need to have confidence in the defenders in front of them. Do they have that confidence? doesn't look like it to me.

Re: " MARSHALL and HEATON "

Heaton was really class when he got beat from 25 yards by Lewis McGugan of Forest, a keeper should be on his toes not flat footed !
Agree about Marshall on corners, I'm directly in line with the goal line in the grandstand and I think the only two people who didn't see Leicester score from a corner last season were the ref and linesman !

That was hell of a strike by McGugan and I would be putting the blame on the defenders for giving him the space to shoot at goal. Again defending corners is not just the goalkeepers responsibility. The defence is there to defend and they go missing very often and at corners are often getting outmuscled by opposing strikers. Our defence is bad and has been bad for at least 2 years and Dave Jones has done nowt about it. He can't see the obvious even if it smacks him in the mush and is too stubborn to admit his mistakes with some of his dodgy purchases.

Personally I prefer Heaton, as despite his lack of height his all round game is better. Best pair of keepers we've had since Ron Healy and Bill Irwin...
