AUTOGRAPHS

does anyone know why footballers just scribble their names down now! when i was a kid i collected autographs and they were easy to see who was who! today footballers actually ruin the shirts and programmes they sign with their stupid rubbish. is it because they are just plain lazy or could it be because of fraudsters. ANYONE KNOW!

Yeah, I agree mate. Even from the time of when I started collecting autographs when I was 10 years old up until when I was about 18 years old I found the standard of autographs massively deteriorated. Particularly with cricketers. Not got a footballer's autograph is ages but it wouldn't surprise if they just do f**k all now.

I got all the players to sign my shirt a couple of seasons ago, some of them put their shirt number next to their signature, which I thought was a good idea. The framed shirt now hangs on my bathroom wall.

Any programme choose the page with the footballer's pic on it : )

Autograph book have the players names penciled on the back of the page

majority do put their number so it helps

BUT i am sure they have one sig for autographing and one for documentation purposes!!

thing is jez, at least make it look like their name! cause i wouldnt autograph something the same as signing a cheque BUT i would at least make it look like my name. lets be honest, its not as if they have a hard job to do. train a couple of hours a day, play football for 90 mins and visit some hospital once a year! LAZY GITS!

Luckily I was at the shirt sponsor's presentation evening and got all the players to sign it for me - so I know the ones on my shirt are real :D

I can believe that though, so sad.
