O/T HOUSE ALARM

Sun Dec 19, 2010 10:56 pm

Big problem, my house alarm keeps going off. It isn't set, and it keeps flashing up 'FAULT' and 'CALL ENGINEER'. Anyone know how to deactivate the power/anything similar. Can't bear the thought of having no sleep tonight :o

sounds like you need a new battery, as to deactivating it do you know the engineers code? that will reset it until you get a new un ;) codes usually 9999 or 8888 so on so on

It seems to have stopped, so hopefully it'll be okay. It's one of those really old systems, so I better not mess with it anymore

Thanks for your help papa, much appreciated :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

that happened to my alarm, take the front panell off and you will see a glass fuse, just pop that out and it will be dead! Then you can call an engineer at your leasure!
