Yeah, that house on North Road has been like a kiddy trap for weeks now. There's also one on Fidlas Road that has all the trimmings. It's tacky but I love it. :D

The one on north road made me laugh a couple of years back, someone nicked one of his Christmas trees & he put a huge sign saying "Who stole my tree" .it made me laugh but there are thieving bastards everywhere.

You've seen the bit about the Christmas tree they bring home, I did something like that a few years back.

We wanted a real tree for a change and rather than get one of those crap ones they sell with half their needles missing I decided to do what my brother had done for years and go out and cut my own. They are not easy to find because they spray them so that they turn brown in the winter stopping people like me robbing them.

After several hours of driving around I found some near to Ebbw Vale. Armed with my saw and some rope I headed in to a boggy field and found the perfect tree. If you've ever done this you will know that in the field, surrounded by big trees, they look quite small. There were bigger ones than the one I picked out but it looked about 6 feet and a lovely shape.

Anyway I cut the thing down and tied it up with the rope. I should have known it was a big too big when it took me about an hour to fight it in to the car. I got in the car and was sat on half of it. Because it was in the way I couldn't change gear. I had to lift a few branches with my arm, head and shoulders and shove the gear in to 2nd. I drove home like that in 2nd gear all the way. I only managed to get up some speed going down the A470 by putting my foot on the clutch and free wheeling a bit.

I finally got it home and in to the house. Cutting the ropes the branches flung out sending ornaments and furniture flying everywhere. I had to squeeze out through the door to try and get to get the saw so that I could remove some of the branches and about two foot off it's height.

When I finally got it sorted and I'd replaced all the furniture, ornaments etc it looked really good. The only other problem was when it warmed up a bit all the flying insects that had hibernated inside it decided to wake up and fly around my living room. I had a cloud of the little fuckers hovering about the place.
