In my view had we played and lost yesterday it would have been curtains for Dave Jones as our manager. However he now has a few more days to get inside the players heads and try to turn things around, but will he? Over to you Dave!!!

Normal service will be resumed a week today - he won't get inside the players - Dave Jones will be gone before the christmas Turkey.

Your full of confidence then

I must say I feel the same way. It's put up or shut up time for Dave Jones I reckon, no more excuses.

I actually think the break will have done us a favour mate - they should be chomping at the bit. Jay and Riggott will be fit hopefully. A huge month ahead but looking at the teams we are playing it's pretty much in our own destiny. Huge fixtures against Coventry/Leeds/Watford and Norwich and we could be looking in very good shape by the end of January.

The selection of Riggott may be a make or break decision for Dave Jones - none of us really knows how he will perform. What we do know is that he is a better central defender than anyone else we have available. However, is he fit enough to do himself justice in such a vital game? Like I said this is a big week for Dave Jones He has a selection headache. Does he go back to the tried and trusted 4-4-2 (I think so) with Chops and Bothroyd up front Bellamy on the left and Burke on the right. Then theres Central Midfield Oli and Drinkwater are both solid but we need a playmaker in there. I would personally go for McPhail (time to rest Whittingham he just isnt doing the business at the moment) with one of Drinkwater and Oli as a destroyer in the middle. In my view it's time to show some confidence in Matthews and give him the right back spot switch McNaughton to left back. Central defence is the big worry. I think Jones will probably stick with Hudson and hope Rigott is ready. Myself I would play Hudson and Blake although Hudson does not fill me with any confidence but it seems Dave Jones has pinned all his trust in him. What do I know I never played for Everton

Golakeeper? Don't think it really matters both are quality goalkeepers in this league but they need to have confidence in the defenders in front of them.

At the end of the day, the end of December and Jones has not found
a formation that works with the personnel he has got. A lot of his
self-made problems stem from our dodgy defence. Without naming
names, he has NOT got it right at the back and Riggott is his last
throw of the dice, what a gamble!!!
Take two wins from our record so far and we'd be 7th.
I think thats a truer reflection of where we stand in this league under
his management.
We must get rid
