If todays results prove anything its....

That this division is wide open! We have been on a poor run, we all know this, and there is no doubt Dave Jones is feeling the heat and rightly so!

However, look at the squad we have got. If this is our blip, then what are we capable of when we hit top form? Look at Leeds, up to 2nd today having beaten a decent QPR team, but we destroyed Leeds some 7-8 weeks ago, on there own patch. You could argue that the Leeds game was the first real taste of what we are capable of as a team, and what a prospect that is :ayatollah:

Come on lads, look at it realistically. QPR are decent, but not a Newcastle from last season, Leeds are average and yet 2nd in the table tonight. The Jacks are now on a bit of a slide, and it will be interesting to see how they will fair over Christmas/January as this is a busy period and they have lost a couple recently. We put Norwich to the sword at home, they are 5th and Coventry in 6th, well I went to the away match and thought they were poor, long ball merchants who play nothing but % football.

So what does this mean for CCFC. Well I really believe that once we catch fire, and I do believe this is just a matter of time, we are capable of going on a 9-10 match unbeaten run.....along the way beating teams around us.....and opening up a gap on 3rd place! We can chase down QPR over Christmas and pull away from Leeds/Jacks/Norwich etc...leaving us in a good position to push on and become Champions. Remember it is a long season ahead and we are 3rd in December having been awful for 1-2 months.

Keep the faith boys, whilst times have been frustrating recently, I really do believe this division is there for the taking. I can't get dragged into the debate on DJ, lets just accept what we have for now. As a club we are still well placed for promotion, and if we can start with 3pts against coventry on boxing day, then this would be a perfect start.

As a club, we have our fair share of fickle fans. Does anyone remember Blackpool home last season, no Bothroyd, Burke, McPhail, Chopra, if I remember correctly, and we drew 1-1. Without any creativity on the pitch we drew 1-1 with a very good side, and yet the team were booed off by a % of fans........I remember this clear as day!

Lets keep the faith, stop the sniping, and reflect on the realities of Championship football. It is unpredictable, exciting, and on any given day anyone can beat anyone, yet we are still 3rd in the league after an awful run of form, and I believe once we hit top form we will stamp our authority on this division!!!!

This is only my opinion, however if you look at it logically, we still have every chance of winning this division!!! Keep the faith fellow Bluebirds we are going to the promised land, lets just enjoy the ride :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

i think with this team, we could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel,,, we have got the best squad in the league, there are no newcastles or west broms in this league, any team in this division wont have an easier chance of going up than this year,, lets just hope this is our bad patch in the season,, but we should be doing better?

Agreed, we should be doing better, there is no argument agains this however we are 3rd after a terrible run! A really bad run and yet still 3rd, this is a reflection of the division. If we were to string a good 3-4 game run together over Christmas then we could be well placed come January to have a real crack.

The problem with being third after a run of poor results is that no 1 or 2 teams have got the results to have taken advantage of this, in other words there is now a gaggle of teams right up our arse as they have all been drawing or beating each other. A few more crap results by us and we could easily drop down to mid table in no time.
