Honest Question

Sat Dec 18, 2010 1:26 pm

With bookies etc touting the odds on Dave Jones going to Blackburn etc and people on here wanting him out, who would recruit his replacement?

Lets suppose Monday morning we wake up to hear DJ has gone somewhere else. I have no doubt that he would take his staff (Terry, Sean, Alex) with him so that would leave a very empty training ground, I think he'd even take Enda his analyst.

Who at the club would then spearhead the hunt for a replacement manager? And, whilst this hunt was on who would manage the team?

Good question.

The club might use a consultant to do it - or more likely it will fall on Borley.

managing in the meantime ? Ardley, Scott Young, Wilkinson ?

When Sam was being touted for a board place there was a fair point that we could do with a 'football man' in the boardroom. Borley is this, but I wonder if he's got enough on his plate with the HOS and his own business.

I felt the Sam thing was never workable, but the idea was interesting.

Someone like Terry Venables, even on a part time basis would be useful.

To be honest I was never impressed with any of Sams appointments.

True, Gould, Cork, Lennie...

Jones the best of his managers.

Jones the best by a long long way.

Lawrence should have gone after play off final-we were lucky to go up despite having quality all over-we had a habit of f*cking up against shit teams like Peterboro. Sound familiar?

I thought Jones was more PR's choice than Sams
