I hope it doesn't. I hate how this country comes to a standstill when it happens. And I need City this weekend :ayatollah:

I work in caerphilly by the train station, we have another office in cardiff. People that I work with, from places like Barry, have the audacity to not come into work because 'they're snowed in'. Most of them live close to a train station - probably be faster than going by car on a normal day! They even have the chance to go to Cardiff instead and work in that office for the day. Country has gone soft. People who live in caerphilly try and skive too because they can't drive. Such a massive walk

We have a duty to get in. We dont produce Electricity then the country's in trouble. Everyone tries that is for sure if someone dosen't get in you know that they genuinely cant.

It's been snowing here in Pembrokeshire most of the evening and it's pretty much stuck as well! :(

Hopefully it will have cleared up by Saturday morning, when I travel up! :ayatollah:

I don't mind it, aslong as the football is on. Its weird, cos when I lived in Aberdare and it snowed really bad, I couldn get into work in Merthyr. Baverstocks junction and Llwydcoed hill would be a deathtrap. But when I worked in Cardiff I found it easier to get into work. Damn trains

So it isn't always the distance that's the problem when it comes to travelling. Funny though, id get into work wearing snow boots big coat etc. And they Cardiff guys would be like, "it can't be that bad up in the valleys, theres barely any snow here" and I would just look at them. They soon realised I wasn't lying when I showed them pictures

I think you will find that it is not just the case of the teachers getting to the school, but the safety of the children travelling too. In a fair few cases teachers do not live anywhere near the school they teach in. When I lived in Radyr, one teacher had travelled for an hour and a half, only to find (thanks to me! lol) that the school wasn't even opening that day! I did however have to go to work on Albany Road :(

I like the snow, but not when it a) prevents me from going to see my boyfriend, b) prevents me from watching football, and c) that I'll have to risk bloody life and limb to get to work in it when I qualify, because maternity is a 24/7 job. Inconsiderate having babies in this weather dont you think :P
