Applaud the fans at the start and end of each game and get the players to do the same.
Play our best available 11 in their correct positions from now on.
The difficult bit?
Changing tactics as required once the game is in progress.
Getting the fans to believe he REALLY appreciated them. ( As Annis said he in effect cancelled the Player of the Year dinner by not getting the players to attend)

Resign is a good one 
but if he does stay:
If after 20-30 minutes the formation and tactics are not working, have the balls to change them. Not wait until we are losing
Don't play Whittingham
Show a bit of passion.
Speak to the media and answer any difficult questions.
Stop criticising the youngsters and letting the older heads get away with playing shite.
