A forum for all things Cardiff City

...to get us promoted.
Do you think Dave Jones actually wants to get us promoted?
I've been talking to a few people who would be City fans, but wouldn't get to as many matches as they wish, or aren't as involved in the 'grapevine' as forum users/those close to the club could be. Just people I see on the bus/in my everyday life,
One common theme I keep hearing, and a general consensus amongst these people, is that they get the impression that Dave Jones DOESN'T SEEM TO WANT TO GET US PROMOTED. They see him in media situations, at the few matches they go to. They hear the same excuses season after season. If people with little exposure to the man feel like this, surely something is terribly amiss?
Some have suggested it's because he knows if he gets promoted, he will very soon be out of a job.
Now I don't know what to make of this myself, but does anyone share the view of these supporters? Could there be anything to this? I actually find myself agreeing with some of the points above, but I'm not sure whether to take it with a pinch of salt.

It's just another job with no criteria for success. Why should he put himself out in such circumstances?

Nah, he's just not capable of getting us promoted.

Nah thats just daft. He doesnt want to fail.
With whats happened in his life before I just dont think he really gives a f**k
about anything but his family. He trusts nobody, and who can blame him. Sad,
but he has other priorities in his life to this club. We need more than he's willing
(or able) to give!

He Def Wants to Succeed for his Own Ego,But has just lost the plot at the moment.
Last Season, He said on the Days running up to the play off Finals down the Vale to the Players, On mOnday The fans Will be Singing My name While I ride out on My Horse.
So He Def Wants Success, But For Himself.

I'm more inclined to side with your argument
On a side note to this, very good to hear so many randomers able to talk about cardiff city, even if some of them have crackpot theories
I remember a few years back when all most people knew about was Manure, so our club keeps growing and growing
As long as they don't come down the stadium and ask people to sit down
