Terry Burton

Should we be looking to sack him and bring in a new assistant.

Strange comparision, granted, but how many assistants has Fergie had.

We need new eyes, new tactics.

welcome mate :ayatollah:

intresting, i have heard people say that TB is tactically very good, but he isnt allowed much of a say on the touchline, and is often over ruled.

If true , how come TB has stayed with DJ so long? He is highly regarded and would not be short of offers?

Tactically Terry Burton is Very good, But DJ lately has totally ignored everyone but himself, Burton is not a strong voice, he wont go any where else(£5,000 a week, plus Bonuses).

I remember 6 years ago when Burton was coach/assistant manager at Watford and they came to Ninian Park and battered us 3-0 and I remember thinking at the time corr if only we could play football like that. Addmitedly we were sheit at the time but it just goes to prove Burton can coach teams to play beautiful football, but maybe he has no voice in our set-up as Annis says. Funnily enough Burton left them to join us not long afterwards and we finished above them in the league that season.

Burton has a fantastic record at Arsenal, Wimbledon and Watford.

I also beleive he's been instrumental in the huge improvement in players who've come here.. Jerome, Johnson. Loovens, Bothroyd, Chopra, etc...

Thought they went up that year. Play-off final winners
Boothroyd was manager with Burton alongside him.

One of the best away performances I've seen at NP. Pace and power - first I'd seen of Ashley Young, .. didnt McAnuff play for them as well -and that wanker King.

Your thinking of the following season 2005/6 when Watford were promoted beat us 3-1 at Ninian Park that year. They finished just below us in 2004/5

Could be. All moulds into one after a bit. Do remember though that they were favourites to go down the 1st time they smashed us.

As assistant to a manager who's on £750k, how much did you expect him to be on?
