Question for the anti Jones brigade

Wed Dec 15, 2010 7:22 pm

If it meant that we had to loose every game until new year for Dave Jones to get the sack!! would you take them losses to achieve his sacking?
Look forward to the answers that arrive ;)

I'm an anti Jones type. But, I am more pro Cardiff than I am anti Jones and I never want Cardiff to lose. If we do lose those games, it won't be because we "had" to lose them, it will be Jonse's fault!!!!

I am one of those who believe Jones is not up to the job. That said I would never want my team to lose and will back them 100% every time I enter a football stadium.

Once the game is over I will either call them the greatest team in the world for winning, or swear never to watch them again if they lose. That is the nature of being a football fan, so the question posed about wanting your team to lose so the manager gets the sack is a bit silly, if I'm honest.

Sorry chief i dont believe it to be a silly question. I would say very relevant. If you thought that with Jones in charge we stand little chance of promotion then you would sacrifice a game or two to achieve the bigger picture. Yes we could win on Saturday but could cost us promotion. Now before you stamp on me i have never wanted us to loose and never will except if we had to loose our final game of the season to stop the Gypos going up now that would be different

In an ideal world, Jones would do his bleeding job properly and then we wouldn't have to lose, and people wouldn't be calling for his head. And we could all love him then, because he actually possess any of the negative traits of his personality. David Jones, you should've listened in coaching school

Yes i would take 4 losses. We need to have a change at the top to freshen things up.
Would you give Jones millions to spend in January bearing in mind we've got the best
squad in the championship and they are not playing for him. I wouldn't. i'd give the money
to a new manager with passion and different ideas. We DO need to change things, the
sooner the better.

What a stupid question. No Cardiff fan would want that but I believe that this run of losses is firmly down to his tactics and putting personal issues before the team.

I believe it is a good question, raises many issues, one of which being:

I would never want my team to win....BUT....if they were to get a scrappy, undeserved win against Burnley, I would hate it if this took the pressure of Dave Jones. He needs to have pressure on him until he gets that team playing the same way week in week out as they showed they can earlier in the season.

No I would not want us to throw 4 games away to see DJ sacked.

Re: Question for the anti Jones brigade

If we lose the next four games and Jones is sacked, I think we
will go up. I think we will get a new guy in with fresh ideas and
it will galvanise the team. Maybe Jay will go in the window? But
maybe the new manager will have his own ideas anyway.

If we lose the next four games and KEEP Dave Jones...

I shudder to think :(
