Scunthorpe played some good passing football ( think Swansea, but with strikers who got goals ) under Atkins.

You would think it's highly unlikely Atkins would leave but there again Gary Speed has just left Sheffield United after only a short period. May be there are rumbles of discontent at Southampton or they are running short of cash again after their sugar daddy died recently.

Hmm, if that happens, Atkins wouldn't be a bad shout.

I'd far prefer Poyet tho - far more contacts worldwide than Atkins, more importantly, he's experience of playing and being assistant manager in the Prem.

That experience will be vital if gonig up and staying up is the priority.
