I honestly believe DJ can get us to the prem I definetly think he deserves the rest of the season

i can see where the people who are saying keep him are coming from as dave jones as down well but i think he needs to go to freshen things up..

With the team we have we should have more points on the board than we do now. If he gets the boot, he only has himself to blame.

What I struggle with is the fact that we are still in 2nd I know we should be 1st we have the best team in the league and like somebody mentioned a few weeks ago this is the easiest this league as been in years i just dont know the answer

He managed in the Premiership before, for quite a few seasons. Managed to keep Southampton up despite being regular favourites for relegation

What you have to ask yourself is if we dont go up this season then what ? Will VT stay ? DAve Jones has never and never will fall in love with this club and that is why our supporters have never taken to him. The only reason he is here is because we are the only mugs who will pay his massive wages. As a manager is he any good ? Well TBH no he isn't and there are a lot better than him and on a fraction of his wages. I would like to see someone with passion and in my opinion Dave Jones is part of the reason for the lack of atmosphere around the CCS. His lack of passion is transferred to the players and they transfer it on to the crowd and this has to change. So does DJ deserve his job to the end of the season ? DEF NO

I agree with part of this and part of it I don't. I agree with the point about his lack of passion, but that doesn't necessarily mean that this is the reason for any lack of success. Look at Wolves. You could never say McCarthy lacks passion, but they are absolutely shite. If a manager who lacks passion can take us to 2nd in the league, I'm happy. We could have an upturn in results, or we may continue on this bad run. Personally, I think we will turn things around soon, but the players have to take responsibility as well. I think that we, as fans, have some responsibility for the lack of atmosphere at the CCS, not the layout of the fans or anything else like that.

Dave Jones is/isn't a good manager? At this level, and there are far, far worse out there. I think we should get that straight. Yeah, he is on a huge wage for this level, but that is down to previous administrations, ie Sam Hammam, for agreeing to pay him that. You can't blame him for accepting what's on the table, or for negotiating that wage. Christ, I would, and i expect that everyone on here would, too. Dave Jones isn't a bad manager, but maybe he's an ordinary or average manager rather than a good one

Of course DJ deserves to be in charge, what he has done over the last 5 years or so has been brilliant, the amount of sh!t due to the Ridsdales and Hanmans has been shocking. I do however think DJ should get us up this year, as he has had money to get the players he wants, he actually has a big enough squad for once, so if at the end of the season we arent promoted then maybe it is time to say thank you very much but its time to move on.
