I havn't bought much stuff from there for years, I used to love all the casual cardiff gear that was sold there 6 or 7 years.

This time of year the place should be packed, I would love to buy my boy a load of Cardiff stuff for Christmas, but there is nothing there for him - crazy!!!

You could argue the 'whole club is full of crap and well over priced'

I spent some time in the shop last time I was down, Preston game. I was very disappointed with the merchandise and the beach towel is a perfect example of how bad the quality is and how overpriced things are. Supporters of a football club will buy the merchandise but if the shop thinks it can get away selling low quality prosucts then its going to be in for a surprise as they might find they are going to have a quiet Christmas.

In the 90's when I lived in Ireland and came over here for christmas, I used to blow my christmas money in the club shop at Ninan. The stuff then was way better quality - my scarf looks as new (the one my dog is wearing in my avatar!). Used to have programmes from past and present, as well as other teams. The stuff now is just tacky. My girlfriend bought a window sticker, peeled it off and went to put it on the window - just dropped straight off

I mentioned the extortionate postage costs (£5.11) for a towel to be delivered last night, only to receive a bit of stick from some (probably 'posties' from Penarth Road ) for saying that it was a bit of a rip-off (like the stadium food outlets)

The commercial side of the club certainly know how to insult the supporters intelligence....

Conference rate goods at Premiership prices....and a tax for delivery too!!!!

newput cewnty worked through the night even paid for blowers to heat the ground on the morning of there game saturday. i was thinking why its only an FA trophy game against a team 2 leagues below them. the main reason was that they had fully filled stocked there club shop full of xmas stock as it was there last home game before xmas and they didnt want to let fans down who ordered stuff in. (and they wanted to make money)

Annis, I would have worded the thread title different... Being FULL of crap is giving credit to the club as there is never anything in there!

Went down with the family last night and we were pleasantly surprised Admittedly the last time we went was in August when there was literally nothing in there but at least this time the shelves were well stocked.

I know people knock the amount of cheap stuff, e.g. pencil sharpeners, sweets, etc., but that is exactly the type of things that kids want to spend their pocket money on and I think is a good move on the clubs part.

As for the quality, well there may still be a problem with certain suppliers after a lot of them having to wait for payment before TG/VT took over but I'm sure that once the shop increases it's turnover (last night at 6.30 it was packed due to the promotion) then they can work on the quality. A couple of the cardigans/tops looked pretty good to me but i suppose they might not look quite so good after a couple of months of wear

.....and the staff are not very friendly and welcoming neither. Put it this way....the ones working there yesterday fell well short of what I would consider basic customer service. Don't look like they enjoy their jobs and don't look like they want to be there. A few friendly smiles wouldn't go amiss. It doesn't reflect well on the Club....and I agree that the stock on offer is very disappointing and overpriced.
