passionate as a city fan? jason perry. always but his head on the block.
credit to christian roberts, the guy looked devastated to score against us.
as a no holds barred 110% player, Phil stant.
though i really do wish we got to see more of gareth ainsworth.

Good question that, but for me there is only one winner and that was Phil Stant, the way he would clinch the club badge on his shirt, kiss the jersey , and salute the support is something these current band of players could learn a lot from

mad to think all these names are in the past , crazy how it all changed.
Mon Dec 13, 2010 5:24 pm

Sadly not the only one who comes close is McNaughton - he's a tryer.

Kevin, I agree, but money was also part of it. Unlike players like Perry on £300 a week.
Mon Dec 13, 2010 5:43 pm
Andy Legg, Jason Perry, Phil Stant, Carl Dale used to run his socks off too, Scott Young, John Buchanan, Phil Dwyer obviously.
More recently John Robinson (don't think that was Cardiff necessarily, just his general attitude to football and life), Graham Kavanagh, Gareth Ainsworth (for the short spell with us), Kevin McNaughton and Roger Johnson (when he didn't have a strop on with us

).
Mon Dec 13, 2010 5:45 pm
Yes Def one of them
Mon Dec 13, 2010 5:46 pm
Super Kev is the most passionate from today's pack of greedy bastards
Mon Dec 13, 2010 8:05 pm
Willie Bolland was a trier and a true gent!!
Tue Dec 14, 2010 6:38 pm
Most already named and yes they are names from the past - any maybe not the most passionate but was and always will be a Bluebird with a heart for the club and still respects the fans (more thans some of our own players) is Earnie!
I am sitting here and i cannot think of a present player because sadly it is all about the money and not the love of the club

Agree with the Jason Perry posters here. A whole-hearted player that NEVER let the side down for honesty and passion....
There have been a few 'passionate' players over the years and a team (position-wise) of them would make an interesting read (if only I could think of eleven quickly enough

)
A good top 5 from my time might include:
Jason Perry (whole-hearted and comitted

)
Scott Young (who will EVER forget THAT Leeds Utd game??

)
Keith Pontin (retired rather than play for another club!!

)
Andy Legg (did us proud after he 'saw the light and errors of his early career choices!!

)
Nathan Blake (had to leave at a time when being a Bluebird meant stagnation!!

)
Over to you....
