I have no problem with the ones that actually go to games, I know someone who goes to most United games home and away, when he dont watch United he watches Merthyr. Its the one game a year people who annoy me

Are they plastics? Like you say they're going to watch the game, by that I assume you mean attend the live match. If that's the case I wouldn't describe them as plastics, more like the unwashed who have yet to be convinced about supporting local South Wales teams. :ayatollah:

tell you what, I got a good idea. How about if someone doesn't sing then they don't bother coming to the next game. Instead we can have the team play to empty seats and the club can miss out on the cash of the paying punter, we can then have the voices of those who do sing dissappear against the acoustics of the thousands of empty seats. FANTASTIC IDEA!!!

When are people going to stop promoting and spouting such stupid idiotic arguments like this!!! What utter rubbish!!!

I pay, I have right not to sing if I so wish. I have a right to enjoy the game anyway I want to within the realm of the entitlements extended to me as the purchaser of said ticket. I have paid for that ticket, its my right. There is no way you nor anybody else can say I don't deserve to go because I won't sing. If I've paid for my ticket and I'm entitle to watch the game in a manner that is most comfortable to me. :roll:

actually........ no. looking at the strength esressed in opposition to my view though I may keep that one quiet. Needless to say I do tend to sing, though my 4 year old son tends to shout his heart out far more than me which tends to provide some amusement to the people around me.

My point is its not right or fair to judge the fans who appreciate the game in a different way to yourselves. Just as you wouldn't enjoy it to just sit down and watch they would enjoy it to continually stand, shout and sing. Its all personal preference and at the end of the day there's 2 very important points often miseed;

1) we support the same team/club
2) The more that come the more money the club gets the more succesful the team should be come.

Judge not lest ye be judged.

Oh hell why wait :lol:
Yes you pay for your ticket so you can stand, sit, dance, shout, sing, cover your gob with gaffer tape. But what it comes down to is the players respond to an atmosphere when the crowd is flat it can make them flat. The players themselves love a good atmosphere and so does the supporters. But what gets my goat is when these prawn sandwich supporters are constantly blabbing and moaning to supporters to shut up, sit down and just watch the match. How long have you been a supporter Chief ? . Let someone tell me to shut up at a game and i will go fecking ballistic.

About 20 years(ish). Used to go as a boy with my old man, now take my boy which is nice. Been a season ticket holder for past three years (finally having some spare money), might not be able to next season though unless my job situ picks up. First season ticket was from my brother who lives in Nigeria who just bought one to go and see the Cup final, he arranged interviews etc and got the company to put him up in a London hotel for the weekend and all.

Basically i think each to their own. Don't particularly like the bad language aspect, particularly as my son is 4. Only not keen on standing when in interferes with someone else's view, especially if they prefer to sit. (not all got legs of steel see lol)

tell me about it. But a little self restrain wouldn't go a miss. The guys near me are usually quite good. worse was at the play-off final when I had three lads next to me who were completely wasted and it was quite intimidating with having my boy then. Thanksfully my mates were the other side so I swapped places with them and moved a few seats up.
