heaton(when fit)
kev mac (lb) hudsen riggott darcey (rb)
bellars steve mac (for his passing) olli burke
chops
jay
dont think it will happen coz DJ has his favorites ie whitts naylor etc
But the players are here just play them in theyre right position, bellars is better on left (where he played most of his career)
any thoughts

Pretty much agree. That's the team I'd start with against Burnley.
Would feel bad for Keoghs efforts, but if Jones is going to play him on the wing theres no room for sentiment. Bellamy needs to play there, and I am coming round to the idea of mcphail starting in midfield.

I think we are stuck with naylor till we buy a decent left back. Whenever kev has swapped over not really worked as balance goes and is blake good enough right back? Otherwise I would agree albeit Riggott not tested yet.

Without two holding midfielders, Steven McPhail will always leave too much
room in midfield for the opposition. He's a great passer, but disappears from the
game when the going gets tough. Lightweight.
Id keep Oli and Danny, and play either McPhail or Whitts in the hole in front
Belllers and Burke wide
Jay up top on his own with EVERYONE busting a gut to get up with him

At the moment, it would be 4-5-1 for me everytime, even at home. Not only would this system help our failing defense, it would allow us to get our passing game back together. It will also help Oli as he will have two central midfielders in front of him to give a short simple pass to. This is when Oli plays his best, just sit it front of the back four, break up the play and give it simple. My team would be:
GK Marshall (until Heaton gets back)
LB Mcnaughton
CB Gyepes
CB Hudson
RB Blake
DM Oli (anchor man)
CM Whitts (for his passing and creativity)
CM Drinkwater (for his energy, closing the opposition, doing the donkey work)
LF Bellamy
RF Burke
ST Bothroyd
Unfortunately this will mean Chopra is on the bench, but if we play 4-4-2, we will continually play long ball, we need to get our passing game back and I believe this system will get Oli performing to his best again which is key.
