thats harsh,but unfortunately true,we had 1 good season from him last year,and he is back to looking lost on the pitch,it amazes me to see him not get involved for majority of game,and we all know he is capable of so much more

What has he offered us this season? Am i missing something, he should have been dropped many games ago. Not scoring, passing has been dreadful at times, tackling , passion

Sometimes I feel that DJ shoehorns him into the team in central midfield because Bellamy is on the wing, no matter what. Anyone else feel like this?

Well, yeah I agree. I will say in his defence that most players would look bad playing in our team at the moment. I thought he was doing okay when we were winning - it's all a question of whether Mcphail, drinkwater or an other would do a better job at the current moment. I think Mcphail possibly could.

Whittingham isn't a problem , its being in the middle with Olofinjana or Drinkwater! Those two are awful!

he's offered feck all, but we offered him an improved contract

i find that when a player has one year left in there contract they raise there game, once they win a contract they dont try as hard.

I think its very unfair to lay all of the blame for his performances this season at Whitts door. He is being played almost as a defender this season and we know he can't tackle or track back. He is being put under so much pressure by the failure of the rest of the midfield to keep hold of the ball that he has no time to search for his passes and then ends up knocking it short to try and find some space. He's never going to look the same player if he can't get over the half way line.

when whitts was on the wing against QPR we looked dangerous until he swapped with drinks in the middle then QPR dominated us what does that tell you. Keep the tw*t out wide or the bench i dont mind

As I said, definite case of shoehorning him in. As good as Bellamy signing was, I think DJ was guilty of thinking getting him would mean instand promotion with no effort. He seems to be realising this lately, by playing bellamy up front...only to forget to put whitts back on the left.
