If the club sacked Jones

Sun Dec 12, 2010 5:43 pm

I am not happy with the team's form or performances but is it really fair to sack a manager when we are 2nd?
Who would choose his replacement as Jones is in charge of football matters at the club and none of the board have any football experience? Would they get someone in for some consultancy ?

Would they try and get a "name" like O'Neill ? or would they try and select someone like Hughton?

Also I hope Chelsea start winning because they seemed to start their bad run at the same time and before yesterday also had 5 from 18 and look set to match our 5 from 21 !

Let's hope we can start winning again starting with Burnley else it will be a miserable christmas!

Definately would have to get an consultant in.

Our new owners are in it for the business as has been mentioned in other threads. They look at results and go from there. They wont promotion and if they feel its not going to happen then they will step in. Their main priority at the moment is to make sure this promotion will happen, that is its not too late to save it. Its getting close to that.

We need to get Chris Hughton. He has proved himself at this level and has the experience of taking a club from the championship into the premiership, plus his wages would be no more than what we currently pay Dave Jones.
