They'll probably get course credits
Personally, rescind their NUS card so they won't get 10% off from the shops that they smashed up

I wonder what percentage were students and what percentage were the usual 'turn up for a riot and have a tear up with the police' brigade? I recknon the latter outnumber the former by a large margin

There shouldnt be any punishment ffs. Anybody can protest, its called free speech. The police actually started the violence.

water cannon
tear gas
let the dogs loose
Simple deterrent
Just been watching the organisers/muppets who were from very good homes saying this was due to "youths from London slums" losing their right to education
Well guess what students yet to start work, every year your cost of living goes up and you work harder or cut your cloth accordingly because we all have bills to pay

They should close down all the Uni's. That was the threat to football fans in the 80's & 90's "Behave or we'll close the grounds".
People can suggest that there are two different groups, but many of those traced through press photographs after the first bout of "protests" were indeed found at Universities up and down the country.

They always seem to deface Winston Churchill's statue and the cenotaph which is annoying ignorant considering without the people those landmarks represent they wouldn't have been afforded the liberty to make a protest in the first place - they would have probably been shot!!
There is protesting and there is just being an arse, they fell into the latter yesterday as soon as they started setting trees on fire.
