Supporting Cardiff

Until very recently, I used to be in the military and because of this I never got to many games, but when I did I often came with a few other military lads and would make a weekend of it in Cardiff. The problem was, most of these guys weren't City fans, some didn't even like football, but would come to Cardiff for the weekend! After visiting Ninian Park, they all loved it, the atmosphere and general banter! Some of these guys have now become regular companions as and when I can manage to get to a game, so I suppose are they now Cardiff fans?! I even have one mate, who hates Blackpool with a passion, as he got booted out their youth system when he was 18, and joined up, he's a LIverpool fan, but then next team he always looks for is Cardiff!! He's been to more games at Ninian/CCS than Anfield! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I'm coming to the Burnley game, with a couple of RAF lads, one a Chesterfield fan and one is an egg chaser!! I'm taking them in the Canton, Block 106, Row A (Good seats?) What's the general feeling in accepting English/outsiders to support our club? Do you think it's ok to accept these amongst our fraternity? Or because they're English, only get to say one game a season, are they plastics?! In fact I only get to a couple of games a season, does that make me a plastic?

I never came across many City fans when I was in the Army (I was in a Corps, not a Welsh Regiment), but I've tried my best to recruit as many fans as possible!! Surely the more the merrier?! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Personally Id class them as much as 'Cardiff' whether their there 2 times a season or have a season ticket . We have lots of exiles whoose blood runs blue and cant be there, older fans due to health, and 'converts' my bro in law falls into that catergory hes from Wigan & lives in England only makes it a few times a season and is still as passionate as the next person, I think the more exposure and people who watch the city better all round. Regarding the seats it may be worth ringing the ticket office, Block 106 is a great block its where I go, but row A is right at the front and your view is shallow and obscured by the goal & nets. I would suggest trying to get them moved back from say row AA.

Lets hope we get a Home win !!! :ayatollah:
