He's been criticised many times over the past few seasons for not having a Plan B, so are we right to have a pop at him for this?
IMO, he hasn't had the squad with strength in depth for a Plan B, before this season, as we've often bemoaned our luck when Jay has got injured and we've struggled without him!
This season however, he's experimented with at least a couple of different formations, other than his previously preferred choice of 4-4-2!
He changed the formation against Swansea and played a similar formation against Forest, going back to what we appeared to play very successfully against Doncaster, after Chopra got injured!
He's tried a 4-3-3 and a 4-5-1 type formation a few times this season, but is his usual 4-4-2 the more suitable formation, that suits the personnel in our squad?
IMO, some of the personnel weren't right for the new formations he chose to play in certain games, but considering that he's tried these different formations with varying degrees of success, are we right to criticise him, when he does seem to be experimenting with a Plan B and possibly a Plan C?
Remember Blackpool had a really poor start last season and it took until the last dozen or so games of the season, for Holloway's strategy to come to fruition!
