PAUL PARRY (Warm Welcome) GUNTER (Frosty Reception)

Sun Dec 05, 2010 7:59 pm

I thought Paul Parry got a warm ex-players welcome from the City faithful and even responded with the Ayatollah too :ayatollah:

Great substitution bringing him on when he did, mind....we scored straight after!!

Just to point out to some who were (shall we say) less than polite when I stated that Gunter fully deserved the stick he got the other week, that Paul Parry did exactly what other former players did when returning to Cardiff and acknowledged the crowd (in Paul's case, as with Earnie) by doing the 'Ayatollah'

Before the game he didn't slate the club....rather stating that he had 'loved' his time here. Earnie (and others) did the same!!

What did Gunter do???? Well, let's say his comments and antics this year and last ensure that his 'welcome in the hillside' will be wholly conducive to the current cold snap for some time to come!!

Parry went a bit awol near the end of his time, but I remember him always trying his best. Playing for the shirt is for me imperative.
