DJ - yes or no?

Sat Dec 04, 2010 6:41 pm

So, after another disappointing result (even though players worked their asses today - tactics just werent good enough to take advantage of that), would you think it would be better to fire DJ in January?

Ah yes... "new breed footy fans"... same old elitist bs... back DJ or you're not a real fan, eh?

Under DJ we were first for a good part of a season - remind us how that went?
The "old breed real footy fans" should just chalk it down to experience then, the continual collapses?

Precisely how long would you give DJ then? Season after season, bottling it... continual excuse after excuse. You think the Malaysians will show the patience of "old breed real footy fans"?

A poor November, and poor start to December.
Look back at each and every season DJ has been here - perform well for spells, then collapses.

We may well be laughing at comments come the end of the season. Given DJ has had the players that he's wanted, Taiwo anyone?, at what point do you lose the confidence that DJ can actually turn things around?

The club have given high wages to the players DJ wanted - yet we've still problems at left back, centre back, no backup for Jay.

For DJ's wages - higher than some Prem managers - I expect somewhat more than he offers.

Who would I bring in? Gus Poyet. Doing wonders at Brighton, playing a good passing game rather than the hump it style. Got the personality not to get into regular pissing wars that DJ seems to indulge in, pedigree as a player, coach and manager.

5 points from the last 18 and 1 point from the last 3 home games enough said.

I'm leaning toward no lately as his continual lack of ideas when things on the pitch need changing and his reluctance to change our system of playing when we lose jay is a recipe for disaster and his pitch side motivational skills leave a lot to be desired in my opinion, when the team are training surely they look at different formations and tactics should we come up against a team that are hard to break down or have taken the lead.

And only one goal in those three home games with our supposed all star forward line!

No question, the man has to go, I have absolutely NO faith in him whatsoever, he has no passion, no drive,
does not inspire the players, he simply has no idea and is not good enough for Cardiff City Football Club. :ayatollah:

What exactly does DJ bring to the club that another manager couldnt??

Motivational skills? Nope

An eye for talent? Very Hit and miss

Tactical nouse? Nope

Man management? definitely not.

Probably most important of all at a time like this. Does he have the personality, the passion
and the drive that can galvanise supporters and players alike. Nope

Most damning of all. He brought Craig Bellamy here, the biggest signing in the Clubs history...
... and even Craig looks out of sorts!
