What Will Dave Jones Excuses Be Tonight.
My Guess, ' Preston were Fighting for their Lives and there are No easy teams in This Division ' .
My Comments.
I stayed to to the end, cheered them to the end, If I seem to be always picking at Dave Jones, Then Why Were Thousands leaving 15 mins from the end and 7,000 Missing Fans(21,000 Crowd announced incl 4,000 Missing Season Ticket holders), WERE SECOND IN THE LEAGUE ?

With regards to the fans, the a470 was closed, so anyone coming from Aberdare or Merthyr weren't able to make it. Would account for why there were a lot of fans missing.
As for Jones.....I don't think he'll be able to offer an excuse. Shocking performance and if he ignores that then he needs a new job.
Sat Dec 04, 2010 5:41 pm
We were clueless today!
What is going on - it was as if the palyers had never played with each other before!
How can you go from beating Leeds 4-0 awat to the way we have played in the last 4-5 games.
it's clear Jones man-managment, motivational and tactical skills are in short supply.
Do you think he will come out and say he made a mistake??? Sorry it's not 5 players I need it's actually 6
Sat Dec 04, 2010 5:46 pm
You know it's not good when Bothroyd comes off due to injury so he decides to bring Keogh on. Not really a PLAN B is it. How about bringing MICHAEL CHOPRA on and changing the usual "punt the ball up the field" style of play we seem to love.
f*cking pathetic.
Sat Dec 04, 2010 5:49 pm
Annis I imagine that anyone who drives from Merthyr will have missed the game like me, f*cking disaster!
Sat Dec 04, 2010 5:55 pm
No excuses can be used, other than our defence is shit. Hate to say but what else can you say. The Preston goal came because Hudson allowed Parkin to barge his way into the wall. HOLD THE f*cking WALL. Which we did for their next free kick.
The forwards are snatching at some shots in panic what are they doing on the training ground. Then other times no one will take the responsibility and have a crack. Players need reassurance Mr Jones get it sorted between you and your coaches.
The time is over for excuses, we want those players in January by being top two.
I said in another thread earlier if we don't win by 3 we've got problems, I think we do.
Sat Dec 04, 2010 6:00 pm
As I've said on here before annis I do think u pick at him but u've got good reason, and its fun most of the time to see ur passion showing through... Hate peolpe who leave early, and today proved y they shouldn't...

Annis you have the Preston are fighting for their lives excuse also we are fighting for our lives as well, can you believe that because if our players are fighting for their lives then they will be dead pretty soon.
He congratulated the players 10 out of 10 he gave them for sticking at it and finally getting the goal their 31 attempts on goal deserved, the thing is the official match stats show we only had 24 attempts on goal. Are the 7 additional attempts DJ is claiming just an embellishment or a down right lie.
He went to great lengths to accuse PEOPLE IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD of trying to destabalise the club by claiming players and management are arguing amongst themselves. According to DJ PEOPLE IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD meed to GET REAL.
More total bollocks from an absolutely clueless numbskull who is clearly in a job that is to big for him, I just hope that VT is the ruthless businessman we are all told he is and deals with this idiot.
Come on VT get us and our fantastic squad a manager we deserve. SACK THE USELESS b*stard

31 shots at goal, we must have been doing something right (I did'nt look like to me). Still 2nd

But Lonergan only made 2 or 3 saves.

Most of them were blocked shots.

I didn't go today Annis, so was one of the missing thousands of season ticket holders !
It's the first home game i've missed at the new stadium, but having a 75 year old father freezing cold and three hard days on
dialysis this week, it just didn't appeal to me !
Do you think Andy Keogh has stopped Jones from being nearer to losing his job ?
He certainly doesn't endear himself to the fans !

Ipswich had 17,000 today. I doubt if there were 12,000 in the ground judging by the TV pictures. 3 stands less than a 3rd full.

you lot won't agree but i thought preston where fantastic heart on sleeve stuff challenging throwing them at balls every shot we did, imagine being fan of them right now, ad be so gutted

Annis, me and my family couldn't make it due to the weather. So that accounts for 4 of the ST holders
Sat Dec 04, 2010 7:59 pm
annis i left ,on 90 minutes, it was like watching paint dry, if iwasnt driving i think i might have stayed in the bar for the second half, i thought we could be here till next friday and not score,we do struggle against lower placed teams, so we got 2nd from bottom next,,,, and after that performance, anybody going to borough next week , deserves a knighthood,
Sat Dec 04, 2010 8:03 pm
I would respect DJ a lot more if he'd come out an say that it's not good enough at the moment and that it's clear to see they aren't up to it.
But not now nor ever has he done that. Losing to Sheff Wed putting us out of the play-offs was blamed on Preston
Losing to Blackpool was blamed on not reinforcing in January
Losing to the Jack was blamed on... I forget but it wasn't the performance.
Sometimes you don't need excuses, just need to say it's not good enough and we will try and put it right.

Very dedicated defending by Preston

I got laughed at by a few around me at the beginning of the second half when I said if they dont pull this around in the next 45 minutes DJ will be out of a job. I got into a heated discussion with one or two who asked me if I had been drinking. Then they came out with the "look where we were 10 years ago", "we are second in the leauge". I answered their comments with the answers I have been given on here. Most likely we would have still been arguing until someone agreeded with me then it went quiet from them like.
Still I suppose we will never know now if DJ would have walked or got sacked if it was not for that last minute goal against the bottom club.

Just what I heard buddy. Part of it was closed. Serious accident, closed both ways.

Against Leeds things went our way and we got a 4-0 win. If things had gone our way today we could have had another 4 or 5 goal win. It didn't but what I was impressed with was the players attitude by putting the effort in even when it was one of those days.
That said I have always thought Dave Jones is our weakest link and if we go up it will be inspite of him, not because of him.

But are Ipswich 2nd in the league, we were not live on telly, no early kick off, no snow in Cardiff, Have they got the line up that we got Bellamy, Jay, Chops and OJ ?
And we all believe this is the year we are going up
Sat Dec 04, 2010 9:29 pm
This is also the biggest season in 50 years everyone believes we are going up and why not we are second in the league, we should be selling out.

this pisses me off as i cannot get tickets for family stand unless i book months in advance-my Burnley tickets were booked end of Sept/early October. i wont pay 60 quid to watch ccfc when i could pay 30 for me and the 2 boys. The club is still failing to market itself properly and needs to move forwards. We dont need to be like the gypos and sell tickets for a can of Tesco Value Beans or whatever but the club should use the corner areas as family areas in addition to main family stand.

It was a poor showing; however Bellers missed a few chances. In the first half he looked as if he wanted
To give the ball away as soon as possible.
Blake is a liability. His injury problems still persist. At best he should be on the bench.
At the end of the day DJ didn't run out on the pitch.
Beler needs to concentrate on his own form and leave the team talks to the manager.
He "was" a great player but is a disruptive influence.
The centre midfield is a huge problem; no one seems to be able to run the show.
I fear we will limp into the New Year.
Sat Dec 04, 2010 9:52 pm
We didn't play well today which i thought was mainly down to some poor individual performances and poor finishing on another day we would have won 3-1 and everyone would have gone home fairly happy. No way you can blame the defence today our problems were at the other end snatching at chances and some inspired defending conspired to give us 1 point instead of 3 but we really need to get 3 points at Boro and my big worry now is how long will Bothroyd be out
