Cardiff-Serial Bottlers

Sat Dec 04, 2010 5:14 pm

Always heard this quote coined with Cardiff's annual season f*ck up & am now starting to see why.

Yes you can all come on and spout some obscenities towards me but after that please give me you're thought on the following;

Dave Jones-Tactically clueless, out of touch with the fans / club?

Craig Bellamy-Not turning out to be the super player everyone thought he may be & due a bad knee injury soon?

Jay Bothroyd-Without him you look like a mid table outfit?

Anyway 2 points dropped against the leagues worst side at home whilst you're nearest rivals win & Rangers have a lovely rest & a game in hand against their rivals. Happy days.

I agree papa I can be a little cretin at times.

Interesting you agree.

Are the wheels coming off albeit ONLY December?

Can only see things getting worse in Jan with Jays possible departure & Bellamys annual knee injury set to strike.

Why are you on a Cardiff site? Don't they like you on your own sites?

Berwyn please answer the question.

Are Cardiff feeling the pressure already? Is Dave Jones cut out to manage a big club like Cardiff City?

30 seconds away from a 3rd straight defeat, Jay out for a few weeks with a hamstring injury. Pressure taking its toll?

Would love an honest opinion.

I couldn't give a f**k what you want to be honest. I'll talk Cardiff with Cardiff fans who are interested in having a proper debate. I'm not bothered about talking Cardiff to an attention seeking QPR troll who's only here on a windup.

What a pointless question though. You obviously really 'dig' this board.

Every other thread on here is brutally frank about the team and the manager,
so here goes:

YES ... Cardiff are feeling the pressure already, this comes from a tactically inept manager
who cannot motivate players, from a manager that will not admit when he's wrong, from a
manager that will not drop one of his favourites no matter how badly the lad is playing,
and from a manager who actually thinks that because he played in a Merseyside derby, and
managed Wolves in the Premiership, he thinks he is bigger than this club and we are lucky to
have him.

NO Dave Jones is NOT cut out to manage a big club like Cardiff City, because he doesnt see
us as a big club for the reasons above. He RAGES when supporters have a pop at him or his
tactics. He thinks he's on another level to us.

He does not seem to grasp that as paying customers, we have a right to express our opinion
on the product we pay to watch.

If you go to Starbucks tomorrow and the coffee tastes like shit, you will complain... If Jones
was the manager there his stock response would be:

"Have you ever been a coffee maker? have you ever managed a Coffee shop? what do YOU
know about Coffee... I'VE MADE COFFEE IN A COLUMBIAN COFFEE SHOP"

Erm... but it tastes like shit

"NO IT DOESNT!!!"

Thank you Johnny for the in depth reply.

Warnock has never had money in his life we are backed by the 2nd wealthiest man in the world do you think he will get backing? Yep exactly what I thought. Anyway that's another debate.

Reading a lot of comments on here regarding today's game seems the fans are very very unhappy with the manager & the performance, what should change to improve you're chances of staying in the top 2?

the rest of the teams in the league get wound up or go into admin and get a 30 point deduction......I think jones may have a chance then

What we have though, and QPR most definitely dont. Is a fan base that could easily
fill a 35,000 seater stadium week in week out when we eventually get to the Premier
League. Plans are already afoot to add the extra seats. Our Malaysian billionaires
are hard headed business people and by targeting the Far East, Cardiff City will become
a massive brand name out in Malaysia, and India seeing as Chopra is now going to
play for them. The marketing potential for this club is huge, and with it, extra revenue
streams WILL find their way here!! We WILL go up, even if not this season it will
definitely be the next one (without Dave Jones)

YOUR billionaires didnt get rich by throwing money away, and the danger for you lot is
that they will get sick and tired of forever being in the Shadow of Chelsea, which you
will be. They are just too close to you. Its why your support is so poor now, the vast
majority of football fans in West London now follow Chelsea.

Not a dig, just plain facts as I see them

What we did today is what QPR have done all season turned 0 points into 1 point with a last minute goal - this might just kick start the team back into form .

Onwards and upwards as nothing is decided yet.

thats actually brilliant point :ayatollah:

Re: Cardiff-Serial Bottlers

Taffy totally take you're points on board but a few things that are obvious to me are the following.

QPR's owners, do you not think they knew / know our fanbase & average attendances before they invested? My guess is they would have scrutinised every little detail before entering into any deal. As you said yourself business people as wealthy as them do not make money from investing badly.

Bernie Ecclestone is as we speak in negotiations to purchase part of a 30 acre BBC site in Shepherd's Bush that will be available once the BBC uproot to Manchester.

Talks of a 35,000 stadium are being mooted. Do you not think if we make the premiership it will not increase our gates? New fans? Fans who want to see Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool etc? I'd say yes it would. A stadium is a few years away so Loftus Rd holding 19,000 for a few years is fine by me.

Also remember you are the only half decent club in a big region we are sandwiched between Chelsea & Fulham 10mins away, whilst 20 mins on the tube will take you to Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham so I would say we are doing ok.

If I put my hand on my heart I would say we are all set for the step up. You guys are with regards to backers, stadium & fanbase but how long will the Malaysians put up with that manager? New manager in, different ideas & plans might not be you're favour.

Oi, Lord Haw-Haw (aka C-Nob) f**K off before you go too far!! You know what happened to THAT shit-stirring b*stard!?!? :x

Your own wheels will come off soon enough when your 'lucky' side begin to dry up as other teams learn to play Tarrabt, your ONLY class player!!

No-one on THIS site gives much credence to your insincere comments and gloating....and, it would appear, neither do your own fellow West End Third Team supporters....

A bad day at the office for us (remember that wasn't the case last week, where your twelfth man, the referee, made the biggest difference) but we'll be back....with a vengence!!

KNOB!!!!
