Centenary Dinner - were you there ?

Just got home from the centenary dinner...anyone else there ?
A good evening, a bit subdued I suppose but ok.
They could have made more of it though for a Centenary.....seemed more like a silver wedding bash.
On the positive side... Quite a bit of cash was made for the Academy and the malaysians were brilliant on the kareoke singing My Way. Some daft money was spent in the auction....
Dave Jones spoke well and had an excellent response from the audience.
I thought it was a decent turn out by the fans, considering the price, but sparse on ex players.
An excuse was made of the players stopping some players turning up up but.... Those players that did turn up wewre made a big fuss of by the audience.
Where was Toshack, Ratcliffe, Nathan Blake, ...etc. Loads of layers in fact..... ?

I thought it was next weekend otherwise I would have done a table.
A friend of mine was on a table with Eddie May and loved it

We had a brill night on our table sat with Neil and Sarah ardley, they were a great crack. Your right about silly money being spent, me sister treated me to a morning with Dave jones Tea and toast and meet the players, the most expensive tea & toast I'll ever have.

Thats great - although I dont think it was marketed that well. Considering the club have a new CRM system and send e-mails aout about all sorts I only saw about it on here.
