Yet the council fail to treat the majority of pavements and roads and we're all expected to go to work. The world is so gay these days.

As it says on the tin - the world is so gay these days!!!!

Since when did ice on the car park matter a flying f**k as to going to the football? The PC brigade are taking over the world. They'll call football off for something silly like that, but won't stop you going to work, shopping or anything like that. It's pathetic. Thankfully it looks like it'll be on. :ayatollah:

you completely miss the point here, mate....

Everyone (including Cardiff City FC) have a 'responsibility' and a 'duty of care' towards others who come under their control. Entering and leaving a football stadium is one such occasion....

Imagine you are walking across the car park with your elderly father, wife or child and they slip or fall on ice and break their leg. Who are you (undoubtedly) going to sue for compensation?? Erm, the football club that allowed you to walk across a dangerous car park in the beginning, that's who!!

You see, the point is that the law no longer sees the fact that someone is dull enough to walk across the ice in the beginning. It only sees that the proprietor has been negligent in their 'duty of care' to persons on their premises (ironically, including trespassers) and they are fined appropriately....usually leading to compensation being paid out

I hope this explains a little bit as to why games are called off for 'external' safety reasons....but it still doesn't explain your term "The whole world is gay...."
