dont shoot the messenger but to help raise money for this academy through this board I thought of this

you were going to make it a members only board for exclusive rights to Carls update so is there any way when you launch the new board ask everyone to re sign up but at the same time make a minimum donation of say £10 for the year that will go towards the academy

All monies could be paid and once this is complete you then get your log in details

Just a thought but with over 3500 members that would raise some serious cash

If it works well there is nor harm in doing it annually

As wonderful as it sounds, can't see it working. Asking for donations is fine, but I wouldn't use the board as ransom to do this. Maybe set up a way people can donate directly through the site?

SO you are all saying you would donate money through a link on the website but you would not pay to come on this board - No difference in my opinion unless you had no intention of donating in the first place or the amount of a tenner was too much
