On our way to Northampton, about 2004-ish I think, and we heard on the radio about 20 miles away it had been called off. Went back to Porthcawl, having a beer in the pub and the rugby was on the TV. Northampton rugby club were at home!!!

I went to this game with some Mates we were drinking in a pub in Leigh a place i knew well because I lived there for a while when I was younger. Anyway some old buggers in the pub ask us where we are from and when we tell them they inform us the game as been called off but we don't believe them until it comes up on TV. It is the only game called off in the whole region and as somebody else mentioned is proably due to Boltons long injury list and excessive watering of the pitch

We decided to go and watch Tranmere v West Ham instead and went in with the Tranmere crowd where there was quite a few city present anyway we had a good welcome and joined the scousers in giving the Hammers plenty of abuse

Gillingham away in the FA cup mid eighties.

This was my very first away game following the City, 6 hours on the Adar Glas supporters coach, to find most of kent covered in a nice blanket of snow.

The game was called off as we approached the stadium.

We ended up in London where we had a choice of watching Chelsea vs Wigan or Fulham vs Wednesday.

We made our way to Craven Cottage which seemed to be the safest option at the time, as Chelsea had a very bad rep and we didn’t fancy being fed to the electric fence.

There were plenty of City in the Fulham end and remember City fans getting strange looks after we celebrated goals from both teams.

Happy days indeed. :ayatollah:

Gillingham away in the FA Cup.

Went to watch Fulham v Sheff Wed. We were bottom of Division 3 and sang "Division 3 is upside down" all game.

About 300 of us in the Fulham end and we out sang both teams.

No, but I did drive to Charlton once, got lost, arrived at half time to find us 2-0 down, which was the final score, got chased out the ground and my mate got food poisoning in Slough on the way back! Almost wish it HAD been called off!

Torquay United 1992. Ironically Wales was full of snow but Torquay looked alright. Five of us had a game of killer on the pool table in one of their pubs and the Torquay lads were pretty sound, even when we looked like taking all the cash. :)

Brighton, late Eightees early ninetees I believe???
Just finished a 24 hour guard at 8am went back to the barrackes S,S & S then got a lift to the train station at Southampton to go to Brighton picking up a 6 pack of Stella on the way! I had managed to persuade a Rangers fan to join me so we headed off to Brighton drinking the Stella on the way. Got to the station about midday and straight into first pub on the pub circuit map at the station. Well by around 2.30 we decided to go to the ground, a taxi pulled up and outstepped about 6 City fans declaring the game was off :( . Next thing I know I'm hammered in a pub full of City fans chasing someone around a pool table?? Before I know it it's about 9.30-10.00pm I'm in the lanes and I'm smashed said to my mate I'm going home, made my way to the station and asked this conductor (could of been a tramp) where the next train to Cardiff was. The conductor pointed and as far as I know it I followed the correct finger (looked like he pointed with several, eyes not working properley by now) BUT.......I ended up in Bognor and it was the last train in or out.......slept under a black bag in the pouring rain until about 4am when my body gave way and I hunted down a taxi cost me £75 pound to get back to camp in Southampton.

Love away days!! :ayatollah:

cant remember where we were supposed to be going, but tony jeffries held a vote to see if we wanted to watch an alternative. the vote was a majority no, however myself and 4 others (seen as it was a midweek game and had the day booked off) decided to watch swansea v rotherham.
we went in the rotherham end, made some friends and got the 50 or so rotherham fans singing " you jack bastards and twenty freestone"
f*cking awesome night. 1997 i thnk 1-1 final score.

also bolton away f.a.cup game called off en route.
