Why does Jones sign players he has......

worked with before or players from clubs that he has worked for previously I am talking Wolves here of course. With the exception of Chopra none of them have been great shakes and he is looking out of sorts himself. Olofinjana not looking as good as he was early doors. Keogh, Naylor (from Scottish market) both ex Wolves and neither good enough. Bothroyd, well he's played for Wolves too among other clubs and I don't know whether to say good signing Jones or pure luck on your part. If not that he goes to the Scottish market, Rae(not good enough) Quinn (likewise), ok Burke he was a good signing and Mcnaughton too & McCormack, what happened there? what a waste of a talent and we virtually gave him away. Now he wants to bring Loovens back an ex player and from the Scottish market, thanks but no thanks. We also hear that he wants to bring Routledge back. Have a bit more imagination than that Dave Jones. There are plenty of good players out there who are coming to the end of their contracts in the summer that we can buy on the cheap in January. I hope you have done a bit of groundwork and weeded out a few gems (do you have a scouting network?) - I won't hold my breath mind. Other signings in the past could have been attributed to Ridsdale (god love him ) i.e ex Leeds and/or Barnsley players and ex Hammam signings from Wimbledon and a few other contacts he had. This myth that Dave Jones is good in the transfer market is just that - A MYTH - get him out and let's have a decent manager in before our season falls in a big deep hole.

This 'We hate DJ campaign', seems like sheep following to me. I'm not his biggest fan but ffs we are second in the league with players who havent had a great deal of playing time together. Bellamy is not 100% fit, neither is Koumas or Drinkwater or Chopra for that matter since his injury.

Yes some poor signings by DJ, but, you forget the signings of Roger Johnson, Jay Bothroyd, McNaughton and Whittingham.

not fickle have consistently said Jones aint my cuppa tea dont rate him, never have, he don't like us fans and I dont like him. Ok so you listed 4 good signings and I included 2 of them in my original post and I can agree with them but I could name a whole lot more bad signings than good signings Dave Jones has made. So I ask the question are the few good signings more luck than judgerment. As for signing players with a history of injury, why sign them in the first place and why select players for first team action if they are injured anyway? thats bad management in my eyes

Neil Warnock is an advocate of using players he has worked with e.g. Paddy Kenny, Shaun Derry etc. Even though they're not the best around. I think he knows what he is getting. I think we all felt Koumas would do better than he has done purely because it's an effort thing with Koumas, not ability.
