Think of it like this....you're out shopping and all the shops are open for you to walk in and browse apart from one which insists you fill in a form before you can even look inside. Would you bother or would you just move on to the next shop?

Perhaps the members who have voted no see that by stopping non members viewing the board, it would mean they wouldn't bother with the site rather than enjoy the postings as a browser and eventually sign up.

i voted no as i enjoy viewing other clubs message boards especially on the run up to a fixture to see what they think about us and our chances, but i dont sign up to their messageboards. I would personnaly feel a bit cheeky if we expected everyone who wanted to browse the forum especially away fans to sign up to this messageboard. If we had members only threads i wouldnt be opposed to that such as carls updates and the travel threads as these should be exclusive to forum members.

I respect the opinions and views of everybody bur if people cannot be arsed to register, why should they be members of the site. The site is open to anybody. There is no criteria for membership. otherwise you will get every cyber warrior passing through who can't be arsed to register on any site, posting all sorts of shit on here. Ithink you f you make people register, there is some sort of accountability.

But you don't know what's in the shop as you have to fill in a form just to get to look inside. The shop next door is open for viewing without having to do that.

Signed up today after visiting this site nightly over many months. The threat of it becoming members only has made my decision to sign up to an excellent site. (Already a member of CCFC forum)
I voted no as I believe that it would become a closed shop and would not allow many city fans visit this site. It might be seen by many city fans as a breakway forum and I believe that this very important time for the club and all fans of Cardiff City to be as one for that push for the promised land.
Now I have started posting I will continue with topic's that might or might not be intresting, but one thing we will all agree on is CITY TILL I DIE

I joined the messageboard when it was members only, so don't really see why others wouldn't just sign up, it literally takes seconds to do!

no, ive only just signed up to this, but have viewed it for a number of months, i eventually decided that i think it looks like a good forum and id like to contribute to it. however, id never have signed up if i came on and couldn't see it first, like the shop analogy mentioned before, people like to have a look and decided if they like it before signing up to it.
