That's one topic that will feature in the Preston match programme, I've never been a supporter of this before but I thinking about it I now think it's a good idea.

But I hope the Football League introduce it in November next season

Quick Answer... No.

Players already moan about the current build up of games towards the end of the season, so imargin it if they had a Summer, and a Winter break. That means playing 23 games from August, to December (20 Weeks), thats without international breaks. Then you got a further 18 weeks to play another 23 games in the league. There are way to many games and cups in the English League system. So maybe scrap one cup, and let the Premier League compeate for one cup, then going down the leagues. I.e.

The Premier League Knock-Out Cup
The N-Power Championship Knock-Out Cup
The N-Power League 1 Knock-Out Cup
The N-Power League 2 Knock-Out Cup

This way, more teams will be in with a chance of Silverwear and a celebration. Plus the cup would only be around 4 games long.
