I know we always mention this..

Thu Nov 25, 2010 10:25 pm

But recently there have been alot of break ins in my area. It started off with one or two pushbikes going from gardens, now its turned into 2/3 house being robbed a week. Christmas presents, phones, laptops etc all being taken. The police have been no help whatso ever but everyone knows who is doing it so karma will repay them, trust me. But the point I'm trying to prove is and yes I know we always mention it, the police are doing nothing to stop these wankers making people feeling unsafe in their own homes. I know people who are sleeping with hammers by their beds just incase its their turn to be robbed so too speak. But say now Saturday you go to Loftus Road and get into a fight, you will be delt with and given an over the top punishment, but the police arn't doing anything about whats happening up by me, just handing out crime numbers to quote next time there is another break in. Personally I'm glad to be moving from the area this weekend (thats why I'm not gonna QPR :( )

South Wales police, no infact, every f**king police, pull your fingers out and deal with real criminals.

Fish

Its very hard and really expensive to prove who commited a robbery. You can't blame the police for that. Why don't you blame the smackheads, asbos and pissheads who are wasting police time so they can't look into real crimes.

With all these cuts, it will get much worse because there will be even loss coppers, squad cars, resources.

Sporting events are probably the Polices' main money maker now. And they kind of need it now that their funding is being cut left, right and centre.

I'm not condoning it, but financially, it makes sense.

And anyways, in a place like Merthyr, Aberdare etc.....whoever is robbing will get found out and civil justice will be dealt.

Where abouts in Merthyr do you live Fish ? and are you moving far ?. You are right the Police go for the easy option video football fans then nick em all later. Anyone who goes robbing peoples houses are lower than the low and the Police are no better. I hate thieving Bastards

I follow SWP on twitter, I'll ask them about the robberies amd what they're planning to do. If I get a reply I'll let you know. Hey Fish, when I'm a copper, you let me know what's going on and I'll sort it!

It's a massive shame, mate....

Some advice: Tell plod that the twats are driving their getaway cars at 31mph in a 30mph zone and they'll have 3 vans, 2 dog units and a SWAT Team waiting in hiding at the end of the street....

Otherwise, forget it....if they attend and (as is likely) they don't get a conviction because of their ineptitude and lethargy, it affects their 'crime figures' so (for them) it's best not to acknowledge the offence in the beginning....

And it's apparently worse in (Royal) Gwent....

I read somewhere that when a guys shed was being robbed the police told him they had no available officers, he phoned them back 5 mins later saying there was no need to send anyone round, he had shot them. Obviously then they turned up, armed police the lot. Said too him "thought you said you shot them" too which he replied "thought you had no available officers"
Oh and they caught the thiefs. If this is a true story or not I don't know, but I hope so!

Always wanted to be in the police. Much better than my second choice and getting involved in politics  Certainly don't want to work in Sales all my life. Not for Me.

Anyways Fish, with jobs like Police etc its always a no win situation. They get little thanks when they do a job well and a lot of abuse when they do something wrong. But I'm sure that these robberies will be looked into. Which village are they happening in or is it all over Merthyr? Too many people in Merthyr are sponging off the state and taking the piss with these robberies etc. Which is a shame, because despite all the jokes etc, Merthyr is a nice place and the proper people in Merthyr are tidy :ayatollah:

On an almost minute similar note, a bloke in work had his motorbike stolen from outside his house. He reported it to the police who came out and took notes. They advised him to get in touch if it appeared or he saw anyone on it, though he was told if they spotted anyone on it they wouldn't stop them as it can lead to accidents which in turn see the police force sued. The next day the bike was recovered a short distance from his home, out of fuel. The police then advised him where he could pick it up and how much it was going to cost to reimburse them for recovery fo the vehicle.

So his bike was stolen, and it cost him - yet the culprit's get off scot free. What's the world coming to?

All asbo holders, junkies and scumbags should be deported for starters. Me for Prime Minister.

I'd vote for you!! As you said earlier, people are offended to easily. Says it all when the police refuse to chase a suspect because there is a real risk they'll be sued. This country is turning in to America
