Transfer Embargo

Fri Jan 08, 2010 5:05 pm

Is well and truly in place then, so its no players out and none in for the time being, Ridsdale has said the HMRC will be paid before the end of January and more likely within the next 10 days, i hope he is telling the truth this time.

My concern is that the club advertised for us fans to purchase our season tickets early, and then promised all the money would go on transfers, they obviously were aware at that time about an embargo so surely its false advertising on their behalf.

A 2nd petition was raised on 23rd December 2009 on behalf of the HMRC in respect of unpaid tax. I believe an embargo on transfers would have been imposed on us at that point for the 2nd time one having already been imposed for the 1st petition.
