after 10 months of hardwork, and working 16 hours a day for the last 2 weeks we finally have our first full time foster child today, i would like to thank all of you on here who has supported us during this time(you know who you are

) with loads of advice and information
its going to be hard work for us but its also going to be very very rewarding, for those of you that knows mrs baz this is something she has wanted to do for years, now finally that time has come and i know she will give this child as much love and care as any of our own
one last thing, yes he will be a city fan
baz

Really proud of you and your family, because it is a big commitment and will affect all of but to give a needy child love and care will be so rewarding and I am envious (but in a nice way) of the feel good factor you will get.

The Mrs has spoken of doing this before, any advice you can give before reading about it?

Well done Baz (& Mrs Baz), its a wonderful thing you're doing.
But if I could offer one piece of advice it would be - keep him away from Mrs Ramsgate!

My family fostered a girl when I was younger. It is very hard work but very rewarding. Congratulations Baz, you'll be great parents! Christmas present? Get them a City scarf!

yes just jump in and do it theres loads of agency's or local authority's we have opted for special needs which is more demanding but the rewards of seeing a child grow with the love and car we can give will be enormous

All the best Baz. We have had 4 living with us over a space of 3 years but only 1 full time. Try not and get emotionally attached and it's very rewarding.

Well done Baz, I'm glad all the hard work has paid off for you and Mrs Baz. I suspect it will be an emotional journey of ups and downs.....but hey...thats life
Enjoy the ride and the best of luck to you all
P.S. Did it take 10 months because of your insistence on "the child must either be a Bluebird or at least willing to change from his/her current affiliation" clause???

Well done Baz, that child will be very lucky to have you and your wife, and will never be short of pens
