Out of interest why/how do you have a season card for a seat you never use? Did you ask for it as it was free so why not? Not having a pop just wondering how this happens as the pile of empty seats in the family stand is a bugbear of mine.

its because when i got the season ticket my little girl had her dancing class on a saturday 12 til 1 and the plan was to go straight to the match from dancing class, then as soon as the season started her class got moved to 1-30 to 3 so she can't go to saturday 3pm kick offs.just one of those things, nothing i can do about it, she has been to the sunday games though. so no, i didnt just ask for something cos it was free.
as reguards the empty seats, when i found out the seat wouldn't be used i phoned the ticket office asking if i could, for some games, buy an adult ticket for my girls seat for a friend that due to work can only attend around 8/10 games a season, the woman refused to let me do that so i asked why, as it is extra money for the club, she replied the club would rather see the seat empty than sell it to an adult cos the family stand is for familys only!(my boy also has a season ticket so it would be one child and two adults sat together so i couldn't really understand where she was coming from to be honest) but i have now worked out i can buy a single adult ticket for the family stand on e-ticketing which i have done for the coventry game. i agree with you, theres nothing worse than empty seats but the club don't help themselves.
there was another post from someone on here about this, joff i think it was, complaining he had to do something simular to this

Fair shout and an insight into how it happens. The club want their head banging if their not allowing people to 'up-sell' an empty seat that generates no income.

Same here. 10year old daughter comes to all games but 5 year old son doesn't do evening games. Asked if we could upgrade for some matches to allow father-in-law to come but no, they won't allow it. Stupidly, if we had originally taken an adult ticket then 5 year old would have been able to attend on the adult ticket.
Go figure ......

you can buy your father in law a ticket on e-ticketing for the family stand, then he can just sit in your kids seat, thats what i have done for a couple of games, its staggering to think the club have this policy, as long as the adults have a child with them i can't see what the problem is
