JAY BOTHROYD NOT EVEN A MENTION

Thu Nov 18, 2010 7:42 am

In an interview with Fabio Capello, Capello explained that it was only a friendly and mentioned what he got from the game and who did well and who he will give a chance to again etc etc, Not once did h mention Jay.

I thought Jay did well in a pathetic England performance :ayatollah:

I do think Capello should of been Sacked though after the last World Cup though.

Any thoughts :ayatollah:

I think cappelo is to stubborn with his tatics think he should of played A 451 formation in world cup with Rooney up top to attacking wingers and gerrard running the show through the centre

Mallo - im with you on the Rednap thoughts!

As for no metion of Jay - not a good that a manager didn't acknowledge the new players coming through - not like there was a full new squad!

You could see Jay played with everything he had (for a change! lol) - lets see if he gets called back up again

As for Capello - cnan't stand him! simple

Can't belive no mention of Jay, if it wasn't for jay getting the corner england wouldn't of scored. for the short time he was on the game went a bit more for england, WELL DONE JAY :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Jay won the corner from which Crouch scored so in those 2 minutes both subsitute strikers did far more than that cart horse Carrol did in his 70 mins.

I never want England to do well, but from their prespective why they have never appointed Harry Redknapp (an Englishman) as manager is a complete mystery to me :ugeek:

You've summed up what I said in another thread. Capello is just showing his lack of tactical depth. He's got his favourites, everyone knows that. It's how the England team works. They're a clic. I had no idea why they dropped Kevin Davies from the last squad given his Premiership form. I think Capello is a quality club manager, don't get me wrong. When he's working day in and day out with players he has it right. However, as an international manager, England are going nowhere with him in charge.

I think the emphasis was more on the new talent such as carroll and the other youngsters who they are investing their future in, rather than the older squad fillers. Jay is getting on a bit but I was very disappointed that he wasnt mentioned and I'm sure he got booo'd on?? Did anyone else notice that?

I just dont think the English want Cardiff mentioned in their line up, even though he''s one of them.

Either way they were diabolical time to go Capello...

Fucks sake lads.... Are you all mad??

Leave Capello exactly where he is

British football (including Wales in this) is a million miles off the standard
on the continent. It was a very young French side. The lad who got their
second was 20 years old and ran the show. Difference between them and
england (anyone else and England for that matter) is that their papers will
not be full of "WE HAVE THE WORLDS BEST YOUNG MIDFIELDER" today...
They are blinkered, arrogant and living in a dream. They could not get the
ball last night until France took their foot off the pedal.

England have a striker with an international record of more than a goal every
other game. Yet he's an 'impact' player who only comes on for 10 minutes

They should be building the team around him not Rodney!!!

Daft bastards
