Speculating on his worth is pointless; in summer he's worth precisely zero to us.

I would say in the following scenarios...

Sold in January - we should look to be getting £4m - £5m. I know his contract his up in the summer but if he stays we'll almost certainly make the top two (fingers crossed). If he goes we're screwed. Personally, I know this might sound strange, I'd rather keep him until the summer and risk him going on a free than sell him in January.

Signs a new deal - if he signs a new contract I'd say he's worth £6m now and if he gets another cap make that £8m.

As for wages. In the Championship he should be on £15k to £20k and if we make the Premiership that should be £25k to £30k. He is that valuable.
