Worried about his groin injury.
Could be Jay's chance to start.

Not really surprised. I'm wondering why the game is actually being played at all, especially as clubs are all over countries for risking their players in meaningless friendlies, which is what this 'prestige friendly' actually is. If he does make the groin injury worse, can you imagine what Newcastle will say?

Evidently, and I was surprised, the game is a sell-out, even though it's going to be an "England XI" that starts. FA have to pay for Wembley somehow!
If the game is played at a nice easy pace then it'll turn into a nice training and fitness session so injury risks should be minimised. On the other hand it is the French and all it will take is one very tasty tackle and the game could be worth watching!

I can't see there being too many tasty tackles. They all know each other and play alongside each other, it will be like one huge all-Premiership training session (excluding Jay, of course!!

). It's not like the old days when the gnarled old warhorses would be champing at the bit to get stuck into Johnny Foreigner

fa will have to pay combo to Newcastle if he does get badly injured.
