I think I was right but......

I was out for a bit of shopping and had spent over £200 on two items of clothes and then a dippy tart in front o me went to the cash machine, done her business but forgot to take her money and walked away....

I seen her but leave but she forgot her £20...two opinions im quids in or im the good guy...

anyway me being be I was the good guy which is ok, called her twice and no reply so chased after her (bearing in mind this is St Davids 2) this was no easy job. Got to her and gave the money she would have lost....
she took it, looked at me stupid and didnt even say thank you, I felt like ripping it up in her face
I then seen her in the next shop and she still didnt say thank you

Am I being to kind? should I have took it? (I dont think so) but surely a little thank you? or is this whats modern day kids are like? baring in mind im only 25....?

99 Times out of a 100 you would of got a big thank you. But you had that 1% which was sad. If you could go on hindsight then you would of kept the money knowing the sort of person she was. But had it been the 99% then you would of felt good that you would of got it back to that person. Dont let that 1% put you off doing the right thing in future Chief.
Had you got there and the money was there but you didn't see who left it id say quids in but other than that i would hope if it happened to me someone would of done the same thing as you.
Look on it like this Chief your Parents had done a good job bringing you up and i am sure they would be very proud of you.

I have to be honest ive left money behind once before and the lady called me back (but was very grateful) so felt I was paying that back but she even made me felt like I had done something wrong My mate who I was with was fuming ore than me

Oh well what goes around comes around, hope she wins the lotto and loses her ticket and they wont validate it
