Chops Jumps on international bandwagon

Interesting to see on SSN that Chops now says he wants to play for India! This coming in the same week as Jay gets called up for Engerland! Coincidence or does he want to be now classed as an International footballer as well?
More worryingly that would mean he would go and play in the Asia Cup in January and the likelihood we would then be without Jay (let's be fair Jay ain't going to be hanging around in January not when there is already talk of the Big 4 interested in him) and Chops for the start of the year.
On a plus side Chops might not be gone that long as they lost 9-1 to the mighty Kuwait last night!
Any thoughts / opionions on Chops "now" deciding to play international football!
