Any questions for Robert Earnshaw?

Mon Nov 15, 2010 4:31 pm

Everton fan in peace! I'm interviewing Mr Earnshaw for Sport.co.uk tomorrow and think it would make for a much more interesting interview if it involved some questions from those with a better insight on him, ie those who used to watch him play each week. So - any questions for said hattrick machine?

Hope to see you in the Premier League next season. Got a soft spot for the Bluebirds due to friends in Cardiff. Dave Jones is truly underrated.

All the best,
Jonny

Apart from yourself, who was the biggest big time charlie in Lennie's squad?

When that journo was questioning you about moving to Arsenal, didn't you realise that he was just taking the piss when he asked if you would be able to bench Thiery Henry?

When you seriously answered that you could have indeed benched Henry, which planet was you on exactly?

Even when you didn't realise that the questions coming from these journo's were done simply to entertain them, didn't the penny drop when they linked you to a move to Barcelona? Surely by then you should have realised they were just taking the piss?

When Sam managed to get £3m for you, was that the biggest rip off in the history of footballing transfers?

And Finally....

What's it like now that you've found your level as a League 1 journeyman?

Reading between the lines of my post you might get the feeling that I didn't get on with him.

i think that was uncalled for.
earnie was a city legend, to blatantly attack him like that is wrong.
you maynot have got along with him, but you could keep it civil.

Hang on, get your facts right. I'm not a jack. I worked with Earnie for few years and it's no big secret that we didn't get on. I don't like him, he doesn't like me. Just his opinion of me and just my opinion of him. I did however appreciate every goal he scored for us. As a player for us at the time he did a great job and I appreciate that, as a person though I don't appreciate him.

Like I said though, just opinions, no need to get personal.

Oh and by the way what I posted is actual fact. The press were taking the piss out of his over inflated ego and they did this through the type of questions they were asking him and then laughing at his answers behind his back.

It's hard for me to talk about him to be fair. Can I just say, like everyone else I loved him when he was playing football for us and smiling at the cameras.

Re: Any questions for Robert Earnshaw?

As others loved him while he was with us.

But now i'd take a 4-0 drubbing of forest this weekend, and him wishing he was part of the CCFC of now!

Questions? Maybe research would be you're answer mate?

Don't you just love journo's Phishing for stories? Or question's they could not think of off the top of their heads  I dunno.

"Questions? Maybe research would be you're answer mate?

This is research, you ninny. I could spend all day reading about Earnshaw on dodgy Wikipedia style sites and not learn half as much as I could have by actually asking the fans of teams he used to play for. Not only will that make for a much more interesting interview but seeing if those he really meant something to have something to ask him just seems like the decent thing to do.

Would you rather I conducted a mindless "how did you feel when X, Y and Z happened?" style interview?

To the rest of you, thanks - I'll post it up here when it's live.

Do you think if Mark Hughes had had the sense to include you in the starting line-up against Russia that you would have scored and Wales would have qualified for Euro 2004?

Would you say that Wales managers in general have under-valued you as a player, and particularly, as a goalscorer?

Do you ever regret leaving Cardiff, especially given that since leaving you have struggled to settle at one club - would you consider coming back?

Oh so before posting anything I'll run it past you first shall I ? My opinion, simple as that. If you don't like my opnions then don't read them. You are not on Mikes board now where you are free to pop at other members just because you doin't agree with them.
You might love Earnie but don't expect me to suck his dick. I don't like him, simple as that, live with it. Since when do you have to like or dislike someone just because you say so? If there's a thread asking about a certain person then I'll give my own opinion, not anyone elses. There's lots of things written on these boards I don't agree with but at least I can respect other peoples opinions.

Oh yeah, try posting under your real name.
