Evening Post / Arrests after last season's game .

Mon Nov 15, 2010 7:43 am

came across this article whilst down in Jackland on Sat morning , the newspaper version tells more of how a group of 300 Jack fans were gathered outside the Railway pub waiting to attack Cardiff fans after the game down the Liberty last Nov . Funny how a riot NOT involving Cardiff fan's doesnt get a mention anywhere in the National press ........... plus I find it quite funny to hear of large numbers of Swansea fans behaving like this coz back in the 80's down the Vetch they where not to be seen

Seriously tho hell of a Police bill and another 13 Jacks nicked

I personally think that our fans being involved in trouble gets overplayed on here. I don't think the national press are any harder on us than they are on any other club's fans

maybe but arrests around the Liberty Stadium for Cardif fixtures have been numerous the past 2 or 3 seasons ....... perhaps City fans are now being targeted for a previous generation's actions ?

Did you notice this quote on there

what a waste of taxpayers money. lets face it the police operation failed miserably, hence so many arrests and so much trouble.
why not let things go like the 70s and 80s and the hooligans will sort out themselves at minimal cost to the taxpayer. i can remember cardiff bringing thousands down to the vetch in the 70s, filling the northbank and facing little opposition from our own fans because they were outnumbered so heavily and the police were not in control. this acted to stem heavy violence and damage was minimal.

"slumdog trust millionaire, landore" is a Millwall fan called who used to post on Plant Swans and the old Jackarmy.net under the name "wacker". A wind up merchant of the highest order.
