Bothroyd/Toshack parallels

The last season we were favourites for promotion to the top flight was in 1970-71 season. Our star and top player at the time was a young John Toshack and in November we sold him to Liverpool. We missed out on promotion by one place, as the player we got to replace him Alan Warboys although good wasn't quite the same.

It has taken us 40 years to get ourselves to the same position, dropping down the leagues for many years. Lets hope we don't do a "Toshack" with Jay as our present team needs him just as badly as Tosh was needed then.
