" WORST ATMOSPHERE EVER FOR JACK DERBY ? "

ive seen cardiff play quite a few times with my bluebird friends and also seen them when on tv but i can honestly say the atmosphere last sunday was shockin it was like a morgue. i had invited quite a few lads round to watch the game tellin them of my previous experiences of watchin cardiff and how brill it was for normal games never mind this type of game .well what a let down they couldnt see what all the fuss was about.the atmosphere was worse than cardiff s performance and thats sayin somethin,ive been and seen better atmosphere at ninian with less than 7-8ooo on ........shockin. come on bluebirds i want your honest opinions about why it was so shite

Tony youve watched a few Cardiff games over the years at Wigan/Oldham Away etc, Our Supporters have changed(Due to a new type of fan, now following us) and this New Stadium has not helped. Yes it was one of the Worst Atmosphere for a Derby game Ive ever been to Since 1972.
Tony I've been to a Jack game when Weve been Banned and 400 of us got in at the Vetch and The Atmosphere was Electic, I've been to a Jack game with Only 6,500 Crowd and it was Amazing Compared to that last Sunday and The Crowd was 26,000 .

Dont get me wrong, We still Having Some Amazing Supporters, But thats more when WE GO AWAY AS WERE ALL TOGETHER, Like at Leeds and Reading

When We go to Jackland WE WILL SING OUR HEARTS OUT

Are you suprised at the atmosphere, as soon as the team sheets were read out everyone was deflated already. The way we played was awefull and the team put in 10 percent effort. So all in all cant blame the fans really. Ive been to derby matches since the 70's and ive never seen a derby match were the players and manager showed no interest in it and this rubbed of on us fans.

Regardless on views about the new ground et al I dont think anyone could think that last sunday generated a good derby atmosphere. Was very poor.

Ive seen worse atmosphere,s at Jack Derby games, the mid- nighties, no away support, crowds of under 5,000, I think sometimes we look back on Ninian Park with Rose coloured spectacles

good point you did set up and play like it was an away game.....bizzare tactics

there is a different type of fan that follow us away compared to the home crowd.
compare it to the man utd fans at old trafford with 76000 you can barely hear the home fans but away from home they are noisy and sing non stop

Id agree with that, that was the worst derby i have ever been to !! i said to the lads how i couldnt belive how shit it was !! also i agree with Annis about the atmosphere at both leeds and reaqding the support was fantastic and the new ground hasnt helped us with the atmosphere. I just only wish they had built the ground arround ninnian park. Ninian was a great and i really miss that ground it was a hostile sort of place and you where more close to the players to get on their backs especially away players

i agree with you about ninian but i dont think it was practical given its location, access etc.
the ccs to me doesn't feel like home
when the jacks were banned i agree that the atmosphere was flat but what would you expect
the ccs was dead last week and that pissed me off coz even when we had 6000 at ninian there was always a buzz when we played the jacks
