Organisers of the Canton mile held annually on May 31st(swansea fools day) were dealt a bitter blow on the eve of the welsh derby when usain bolt withdrew from his 2011 attempt to beat the andrew tooze all comers record.
His agent cited that a possible failed attempt at the record could have catastrophic consequences on usains confidence and could ruin his olympic chances in 2012.
In a somewhat sly dig at the current record holder usains agent said that his client was totally commited to beating the record cleanley without the use of roids or in fact the 12 pace makers used by the current record holder.
