Wed Nov 03, 2010 1:49 pm

I just been on the Wolves Teamtalk page and seen that a guy on there says Birmingham Are going to go foe Jay in the next window. Also on the Cardiff City Mediaplayer jay was giveing a shirt to a winning fan, Ask if he was going to put pent to paper he was a good as he was on the pitch and side Step the question. But I guess what will be will be. I guess loads of teams has sat up and looked at him.

He hasn't gone yet Chief. None of us has the foggiest what is happening. He is the happiest he has ever been playing for us and we are heading for the Prem. Lets wait and see. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We might as well get used to the fact that Jay will be much sought after come January.

He has a lot of thinking to do. So do Cardiff City.

It wont be Man City/Arsenal/Man Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool or Spurs who come in for him.
It will be the likes of Brum/Bolton/Stoke/Fulham. I'm pretty sure he'd rather be playing
Premiership football for Cardiff City than any of those clubs. He's happy here. He's in the
form of his life.

Him and his agent are likely to look for a big pay rise, one that matches anything Birmingham
and the like can offer him. If we dont give it him now, he will be gone before next season
anyway. Come next season the club are going to have to renegotiate with quite a few of our
players if we are in the top flight.

Do we fight to keep Jay?

Definitely. He's unplayable at the moment. Give him what he wants, because if we're a
premier league team next season our wage bill is going to at least double anyway. If he
goes???.... we lose our most effective player. False economy.

Do you give a player what ever he wants ? NO never i dont care who they are. How do you think we got into major shit anyway ? Jay is on fantastic money and if we get to the Prem which we haven't yet then he will get a lot better wages. You cant go giving them Prem wages when so far we have achieved nothing. Remember jay has only just started hitting form lets not go overboard on a purple patch.

Perhaps I was being a bit too simplistic. Agreed, it would be nuts to give him
whatever he wants. But in 9 months, its Birmingham and the like that we will
be competing with week in week out for players. If he wont accept a deal similar
to the ones Chopra and Whittingham have agreed to then perhaps we need to
remind him of exactly what you've said... ie. he's only just started hitting top
form and scoring goals.... Dave Jones was f*cking nuts telling the lad he's good
enough for England!!
