Cardiff City Stadium -V- Ninian Park

Tue Nov 02, 2010 3:19 pm

I know I will get slated on here for this, but after lurking on the forum for a long time I thought I would post.

I honestly feel moving to the Cardiff City stadium is the best thing the club could have ever done, bar turning Ninian Park into an all seater stadium.

When I used to sit in the grandstand, I felt like it was giving a good matchday experience, unlike standing up behind the goal. I honestly felt that we were behind the times when we had Ninian Park, it needed to be converted to all seater a long time ago, I would say at least 15 years ago.

The whole feel of the place was giving off the wrong vibes, bringing if you want the wrong type of fan. Now at the Cardiff City Stadium, you have masses of families, mums, dads, and kids, all happily watching Cardiff City. Was this happening on the same scale as it is now at Ninian, no. People can now thankfully sit down and enjoy watching cardiff, without the worry of some idiot doing something next to them.

We have to thank the board for finally brining us in line with the top clubs, we will go up this year im sure of it, we will be fighting (not physically I hope, just on the pitch) with the top dogs once more. But to top it off, we have proper fans coming not the kind that seemed to like being in the grange end next to the away fans.
